Y’all, it was raining SO MUCH last week. To the point where I thought that home viewings were virtually impossible… but boy was I mistaken.

About a little over a month ago, a client booked a discovery call with us. She, her husband and 3 kids are planning to move to Portugal by the time school starts in September. Their VFS appointment for their D7s was set for mid April and they wanted to rent for 1 year to get the lay of the land and then buy shortly after.

So net net, they had about 2 months to get everything in order.

So this is what we did 👇🏽

• we discussed schools for the kids

• we got her connected to set up her family’s private healthcare insurance

• we got her connected to a banker to set up her bank account

• she set up all 5 of their family members NIFs with Bordr

• we discussed how Real Estate agents handle rentals in this market (aka they typically require 1 months worth of rent as a fee since many rental listing agents do not share commissions)

• we got her connected to our partner agent to start her home search

• we set up a private whatsapp chat between the client and our team to help with any one off questions that came up throughout the entire process.

And last week they were boots on the ground, viewing properties with our partner agent in person.

Moving to another country is 80% research and 20% making it happen. If you don’t do the 20%…. guess what, it doesn’t happen 🤷🏽‍♂️
